Dr. Malek Ladki
Chairman of the Board
Dr. Malek Ladki, is a highly experienced TMT executive with over 21 years of experience starting, growing and exiting businesses internationally, running global telecom infrastructure projects and holding a variety of senior management roles with network operators and FTSE100 software vendors. Malek has also held several board-level roles with multinational telecoms’ infrastructure solutions and suppliers.
Malek has founded and successfully exited three highly innovative telecoms and IT businesses while helping to launch a number of Tier 1 telcos in Europe and the U.S. His technical expertise spans several disciplines in telecoms, IT, software and hardware development, and he holds three patents in network optimization. His vast experience leading hyper-growth startups, growing emerging technologies and restructuring business is an asset to Mobetize. Malek graduated with a Bachelor of Electronics Engineering in 1987 and went on to study for a Doctorate in Engineering. He earned his PhD in telecommunications from the University of Liverpool in 1990.
Donald Duberstein, is a highly experienced entrepreneur, portfolio manager and active investor. After graduating from the University of Pennsylvania Phi Beta Kappa, Magna Cum Laude in 1973 and NYU Law School in 1976, he became a member of the New York and Florida Bar Associations in 1977.
Apart from owning and managing an extensive portfolio of residential and commercial properties across the USA over the past 38 years, Mr. Duberstein has co-founded and chaired a cosmeceutical skin care company and has been involved actively or as an investor in a number of private and public companies in sectors as diverse as advertising, minor league baseball, day spas, cosmetic laser devices and water filtration systems. From 1995 through 1999 Mr. Duberstein was also on the Board of Directors of Selvac Corporation, a public company. As a volunteer, Mr. Duberstein is the President of Willow Towers, an Assisted Living Facility and is the incoming Chairman of the Board of United Hebrew Geriatric Center, a nursing home, both in New Rochelle, NY. Both are non-profit enterprises.
Ajay Hans, founder of Alligato Inc. and co-founder of Mobetize Corp. brings over 15 years of diverse experience in the development, marketing and implementation of complex billing and payment-related software technologies dedicated for MNOs and MVNOs. Ajay has overseen Mobetize’s strategic vision and tactical execution since inception. He has held senior executive positions with leading telecom software technology companies where he successfully implemented solutions for brands including SaskTel, Sprint and AT&T. Ajay earned a Bachelor of Business degree from the BC Institute of Technology and has completed an Executive Management Program at Simon Fraser University as well as the Executive Managerial Success Program from Harvard Business School.
